Last year I was privileged enough to work in the streets and orphanages of Honduras. Honduras is the 2nd most impoverished country in the world and thus in many people's eyes they should be depressed and discouraged. So why am I putting them on a happiness blog? Because they are the most joyful group of people I have ever met. The children always had smiles stretching across their faces despite the skin stretched tightly against their ribs. Wouldn't it be wonderful for us to learn that true joy is found within your heart and not in possessions or situation like these children?
Daily life can be hard, boring, and often overwhelming. Hopefully this will be a place where you can stop and smile every once in a while. Please share this sight with anyone who you think may just need a smile or a little joy. Enjoy!

Try something new
In days at work, home, or for me school, sometimes I just feel like a robot. We run through the same routine on repeat. How do we take control of our minds and make the daily grind exciting? Try something new. Whether it is taking a shower at night with just a night-light on (I did that the other night) or driving home a different route, there are thousands of small ways we can switch things up to make them a little bit more exciting.

"If in life you stumble make it the beginning of a dance"
Break up the monotony of the day. Throw your cares away. And dance, dance wherever you may be!!!!
